The Kaohsiung City Economic Development Bureau hosted the “Kaohsiung Local SBIR Plan Achievement Presentation.”
To support SMEs’ upgrades and transformations, Kaohsiung City Government actively promotes the Local Industrial Innovation and R&D Promotion Plan (Local SBIR). On November 14, 2024, the city showcased achievements from 10 featured enterprises, highlighting innovative R&D and smart technology applications. Attendees included representatives from industrial parks, associations, startups, and local firms, celebrating Kaohsiung’s innovation in SME development.
Deputy Secretary-General Chen Ying-hsiu acknowledged the central government’s support of SBIR, granting over NT$30 million in subsidies this year. The city focuses on balanced development, attracting global giants like TSMC and NVIDIA, and nurturing “hidden champions.”
